Love Beach Club & Resort is a beach club and boutique hotel on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, with two swimming pools, pink striped parasols, sun loungers facing the sea, a restaurant, cocktails and fire shows every evening. During the day you can relax by the pool or on the beach, and later the atmosphere gets livelier with house music and DJs. There are also private rooms, suites and group rooms, but you can come for a day without staying at the hotel. The big advantages are the central location, the pools, the service and the social atmosphere; the main drawback is the noise, which can be heard in the rooms at night.

Love Beach Club - a beach club with plenty of character

Chaweng Beach on Koh Samui is lined with hotels, resorts, restaurants and beach clubs, but Love Beach Club manages to stand out thanks to a clear design identity.

Pink is one of the key elements here. Pink and white striped parasols, padded sun loungers, decorative details and a bright colour palette create a playful, romantic and colourful look.

Unlike beach clubs with dark interiors and heavy music, the aesthetic here is lighter and feels like a colourful summer holiday.

The two pools are close to the beach, with seating areas, sun loungers and a bar where you can order drinks without leaving the water.

The design is a big part of the appeal, but behind it there is a whole day out: food, cocktails, music, parties and fire shows.

Love Beach Club is not just a place to sit for a few hours. You can spend from morning until night here, as the atmosphere changes through the day.

The location - in the heart of Chaweng, right on the beach

Love Beach Club is at 159/75 Moo 2, on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui.

On one side is the beach, with a strip of sand and a view of the Gulf of Thailand. On the other is Chaweng's main road, with restaurants, shops, massage parlours and bars.

The Central Samui shopping mall and Chaweng's nightlife areas are within walking distance.

It is a particularly good location if you prefer to get around on foot.

You can spend the day at the beach club, head out to a restaurant or the shops in the evening and walk back to the hotel without calling a taxi.

Even if you are staying elsewhere in Chaweng, the beach club is fairly easy to reach.

A central location with a lively atmosphere

Love's advantage is also its possible drawback.

It is in the heart of one of the busiest tourist areas on Koh Samui, and it runs its own music and events too.

So it particularly suits anyone who likes to be in the middle of the action.

If you prefer a secluded beach without music or crowds, you will find quieter areas on Koh Samui.

The design - pink, white and a holiday mood

One of the special things about Love Beach Club is the way colour defines the experience.

The pink and white striped parasols have become one of the place's symbols. Alongside them are large sun loungers, colourful inflatables and seating areas designed in a consistent style.

The pink blends with the pale sand, the blue pool water and the palm trees.

It is a design that photographs beautifully, but it also creates a different atmosphere from other beach clubs in Chaweng.

The look is not luxurious and understated, but light, colourful and full of life.

If you like places with a strong design presence, Love is one of the most interesting beach clubs in the area.

Two swimming pools and a swim-up bar

One of Love Beach Club's big advantages is that it has two swimming pools.

The first pool - Love Beach Club & Resort, Koh Samui
The first pool
The second pool and the sun loungers - Love Beach Club & Resort, Koh Samui
The second pool and the sun loungers

Both are in the beach area, so you can enjoy the sea view while you swim.

The pools are surrounded by sun loungers and seating areas, and the atmosphere is mainly geared towards socialising.

One of the standout features is the swim-up bar, where you can sit in the water and order a cocktail or a cold drink.

It is an experience that suits a hot day on Koh Samui particularly well.

Instead of getting out of the pool every time you want a drink, you can stay in the water and enjoy the bar and the music.

What happens at the pool during the day?

In the morning the atmosphere is fairly relaxed, and you can come for a swim or sit with a coffee facing the sea.

Later in the day the music gets louder, the pool fills up with visitors and the atmosphere becomes more social.

In the afternoon there are DJ sets, and on special event days the area can turn into a pool party.

If you prefer a sun lounger in a relatively quiet spot, you will usually enjoy arriving early.

If you come for the music and the social scene, you may prefer the afternoon.

Can you visit without staying at the hotel?

Yes. Love Beach Club is also open to visitors who are not staying there.

You can use the pools, the sun loungers and the restaurant, subject to a minimum spend.

How much does a day at Love Beach Club cost?

Outside visitors can use both pools with a minimum food and drink spend of 500 baht (about $15 / €13) per person.

The amount is for ordering from the menu during your visit; it is not a separate entry fee added to your food bill.

You do not need to book in advance to use the pools, and sun loungers are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

You can arrive from 08:00 in the morning.

Towels are available for a rental fee of 100 baht (about $3 / €3), with a 500 baht (about $15 / €13) deposit, of which 400 baht (about $12 / €11) is refunded when you return the towel, according to the terms.

Is it worth it?

If you were planning to order lunch, cocktails and drinks during the day anyway, the minimum spend can be good value.

You get a pool, a sun lounger and the beach club atmosphere, instead of paying separately for each facility.

On the other hand, if you just want somewhere to lay down a towel and go into the sea, you can enjoy Chaweng's public beach without using the club's facilities.

The beach - between the sun lounger and the sea

Love Beach Club is right on Chaweng Beach.

The advantage is the short walk between the pool, the sun loungers and the sand.

You can start the day with a swim in the sea, move to the pool, order a drink and go back to the beach later.

This part of Chaweng has a pleasant strip of pale sand, but swimming conditions vary with the tides, the season and the weather.

The beach is public, so visitors who are not hotel guests can also walk along it and enjoy the sea.

The pools are a convenient alternative on days when the waves or the water depth are less suitable for swimming.

The restaurant - breakfast, Thai food and cocktails

Love Beach Club's restaurant is open throughout the day and serves Thai and international dishes.

You can come for breakfast facing the sea, order light dishes by the pool or sit down to dinner with music and a fire show.

The menu suits a beach club: breakfasts, salads, light dishes, mains and desserts, alongside a selection of drinks and cocktails.

One of the advantages is being able to order food throughout the day, without planning ahead where to eat.

If you are spending the day at the pool, you can move over for a meal and go back to your sun lounger.

The restaurant stays open in the evening too, so you can stay on for the show or a night out.

Breakfast

Love serves breakfast à la carte, meaning you order from a menu rather than help yourself at a buffet.

Breakfast is available from 08:00, and the menu is served throughout the day.

That is a plus if you like a late start, especially after a night out in Chaweng.

Breakfast is not automatically included in every room rate, so choose your booking option to match your holiday habits.

Fire shows - every evening facing the sea

One of Love Beach Club's main attractions is the fire shows.

They take place every evening from 19:00 until midnight, with a new show every hour, weather permitting.

The shows combine movement, music and flames in front of the sea, creating a different atmosphere from the daytime.

You can come for dinner, sit with a cocktail and watch the show.

There is no separate charge to watch the fire shows.

That is one of Love's advantages even if you are not looking for a full day at the pool.

You can come just in the evening and combine a restaurant with a beach show.

Music and parties - Love's social side

Music is a central part of the experience at Love Beach Club.

DJs play house music every day, and the events run from the afternoon until late at night.

Saturdays are dedicated, among other things, to Love Rosé Saturdays events, with music, a pool party and a festive atmosphere.

It particularly suits anyone who loves electronic music, cocktails and a sociable night out.

The atmosphere is not like an enclosed nightclub, but an open beach club where you can move between the pool, the beach, the bar and the restaurant.

What time does the music start?

The DJs usually play from 14:00 until 02:00.

The music becomes a bigger part of the atmosphere in the afternoon and evening.

If you want something calmer, come in the morning.

If you want a party, the afternoon and evening are the better time.

Love Beach Club as a hotel - you can also sleep here

Alongside the beach club is Love Beach Club Resort, which has private rooms, suites and group rooms.

The design continues the colourful, romantic style of the property, with pale furniture, balconies and pink details.

The big advantage of staying here is easy access to the pools and the beach, plus the option of walking out to Chaweng's restaurants and shops.

But before you book, it is important to understand what kind of hotel this is.

The beach club is active until late at night, and the music may be heard in the rooms too.

Superior Double and Superior Twin - 20 sq m rooms

Superior rooms are the entry-level category, at 20 sq m.

You can choose a double room with a queen-size bed or a room with two single beds.

The rooms face the garden and have a private balcony, air conditioning, a TV, a small fridge and a bathroom with a shower.

These are compact rooms, best suited to anyone planning to spend most of the day out of the room.

For a couple with large suitcases or a particularly long stay, consider a more spacious category.

Premium Deluxe - more spacious 30 sq m rooms

Premium Deluxe rooms are 30 sq m with a garden view.

They have a private balcony, a double bed or two single beds, a seating area and similar amenities to the entry-level rooms.

The extra space makes a real difference, especially for a stay of several nights.

It is a good choice if you want to enjoy the beach club atmosphere but prefer a more comfortable room for getting ready and resting.

Premier Rooms - rooms with a pool view

The Premier category is 30 sq m, with a balcony facing the pool.

Some rooms have a bathtub, others a bathroom with a shower.

The advantage is being close to the water and the lively atmosphere of the property.

On the other hand, rooms facing the pool may be more exposed to music and passing visitors.

If you prefer relative quiet at night, a garden-facing room may be more comfortable.

Suites with a sea or pool view - 45 sq m

The hotel offers several types of 45 sq m suites.

Some have a separate living room, others a balcony with a sea or pool view, and some have a bathtub.

The suites suit anyone looking for more space who wants to enjoy the room during the day too.

A sea-view suite can be a particularly good choice for couples who want to combine Love's social holiday with a room that has a more romantic feel.

Two-bedroom suite - 60 sq m

The family suite has two bedrooms, a living room, a balcony and a view towards the sea.

It suits families or a group of friends who prefer to stay together.

Having two separate bedrooms gives more privacy than one large double room.

It is a particularly useful option when you come as a group and want to combine nights out with a place to stay on the same property.

Group room with six beds - 80 sq m

Love also has private rooms for groups of up to six guests, with six single beds.

The rooms are particularly large, at 80 sq m, and have a balcony facing the garden.

This is not a regular dorm where you book one bed in a room with strangers. The room is rented as a private unit for the group.

It is an interesting option for groups of friends who want to spend time together on Koh Samui, with a pool, a beach and parties a few steps away.

Service and cleanliness - what are the hotel's strengths?

Love Beach Club receives many positive reviews for its service and the staff's attitude.

Guests highlight how courteous, available and helpful the staff are during their stay.

The cleanliness of the rooms and public areas also scores well.

The rooms are fairly well equipped, and the pale design gives a modern, pleasant feel.

But the quality of your sleep is also affected by the social nature of the property.

Some guests enjoy the atmosphere and the music, while others describe noise that makes it hard to rest, even when the room itself is comfortable and clean.

The experience depends a lot on your holiday style and where your room is.

Is it worth staying at Love Beach Club?

Staying at the hotel particularly suits anyone looking for a lively holiday in central Chaweng.

You can get up in the morning, go to the pool, order breakfast, stay on the beach and carry on in the evening with a fire show or a party.

There is no need to plan journeys, and the surrounding area is full of restaurants and shops.

But there is a significant drawback if you need quiet.

The parties, the music and the closeness of the airport may be noticeable in the rooms.

If you plan to get up early for day trips every morning, you may prefer a quieter hotel and come to Love for the day.

Is Love Beach Club good for couples?

Yes, mainly for couples who love music, cocktails and a social atmosphere.

The pink design, the pools and the meals facing the sea can make for a romantic holiday, but not necessarily a quiet one.

For couples who prefer a large room and a sea view, one of the suites can be a good choice.

If you are looking for a particularly relaxed romantic holiday, with complete privacy and a quiet pool, Koh Samui has hotels that suit you better.

Is it good for solo travellers?

Love Beach Club can be a particularly good place for solo travellers to spend time.

The pools, seating areas and events create natural opportunities to meet people.

You can come alone with a book or a laptop, order a drink and later join in the social atmosphere.

The central location in Chaweng is also convenient if you do not want to depend on transport.

That said, this is a beach club and a hotel, not a hostel that necessarily organises group meet-ups and shared activities for all guests.

Is Love good for families?

Love Beach Club welcomes families with children of all ages.

The two pools, the beach and the restaurant make for an enjoyable family day out.

The hotel also offers larger suites and group rooms.

That said, the music and evening parties may be less suitable for families with young children who prefer early bedtimes.

This is not a classic family resort with a water park and a large kids' club.

For families mainly looking for a beach, a pool and a colourful atmosphere, a day visit may suit better than a long stay.

Love Beach Club vs Elephant Beach Club

Both places are on Chaweng Beach and combine accommodation, a pool, a restaurant and music.

But each has a different character.

Love Beach Club is defined by its pink and white design, two swimming pools, a swim-up bar, daily house music and fire shows every evening. It also offers a wide range of rooms, including suites and private group rooms.

Elephant Beach Club is defined by its boho design in natural tones, white bungalows with rattan work, a beachfront pool and a restaurant that combines French and Thai influences.

As a day out, Love particularly suits anyone who loves a colourful aesthetic, pool parties and cocktails in the water.

Elephant suits anyone who prefers bohemian design with a natural beach feel.

At both places, take the music and the evening activity into account if you also plan to stay there.

The drawbacks - what should you know before you go?

Music and noise: the place has DJs every day and events until late at night.

Close to the airport: at times you can hear planes over the Chaweng area.

Sun loungers subject to availability: at busy times it is harder to find a lounger in the spot you want.

Small entry-level rooms: Superior rooms are only 20 sq m.

Privacy varies: rooms facing the pool may be exposed to music and passing guests.

Beach club prices: this is a designed beachfront venue, so prices are not like those at simple local Thai restaurants.

A social atmosphere all day: if you are looking for a particularly calm, quiet resort, you may prefer somewhere else.

Who is Love Beach Club especially good for?

Love suits travellers who enjoy music, nights out and a lively beach atmosphere.

It can suit couples looking for a social holiday, groups of friends, solo travellers and anyone who wants to spend time at a pool without straying far from central Chaweng.

Even if you are staying at another hotel on Koh Samui, a day at Love can be a fun way to enjoy a beach, a pool, a restaurant and music in one place.

Who should choose somewhere else?

Love is less suited to anyone who needs complete quiet during the day and night.

It is also less suited to anyone who prefers a secluded beach without music or social activity.

For families with young children, or couples looking for a very relaxed beach holiday, there are quieter resorts on Koh Samui.

Is Love Beach Club good value for money?

For a day visit, the minimum spend of 500 baht (about $15 / €13) per person gives you access to both pools and the sun loungers, with the amount used for food and drinks.

If you were planning to sit down for a meal and have some cocktails anyway, this can be good value.

Staying at the hotel has the added advantage of being close to the beach, the pools and the nightlife.

The good scores for service, cleanliness and location add to its appeal.

But value depends on your holiday style. If you enjoy the events and the music, you get a much fuller experience than just a room for the night. If you mainly want a quiet night's sleep, you may feel the atmosphere is not right for you.

The bottom line - should you go to Love Beach Club?

Love Beach Club & Resort is one of the standout places on Chaweng Beach for anyone looking for a mix of beach, pool, music and nights out.

The two pools, the pink parasols, the swim-up bar and the fire shows give it a clear character and a strong design presence.

The fact that you can come without staying there makes it an interesting option for a fun day on Koh Samui.

But if you are thinking of staying at the hotel, bear in mind that the music and nightlife go on until late.

For a day out, Love Beach Club is a particularly good choice for anyone who loves pools, cocktails and music facing the sea. As a place to stay, it suits anyone who wants to be at the heart of Chaweng's social scene; for a particularly quiet holiday we would choose another hotel and come to Love for a few hours.
