In the heart of Sairee and right next to Lotus Bar: excellent if you are there for the nightlife, less so for a quiet holiday - music until 02:00, uneven cleanliness and one pool under renovation.
Review based on research and guest reviews
We took the photos in this article ourselves when we visited.
Good to know before booking: the hotel is right next to Lotus Bar, one of Sairee's nightlife hotspots, and the music can go on until 02:00.

Figures found in October 2026; they may change.
Lotus Paradise Resort sits in the heart of Sairee Beach on Koh Tao, close to bars, restaurants, shops and dive centres. The hotel offers rooms at different levels, sea-view bungalows, swimming pools and beachfront restaurants. The location is excellent if you want to be in the middle of everything, but the noise from the bars, the uneven upkeep of the rooms and the state of the pools mean it is a choice that needs careful checking.
Sairee Beach is Koh Tao's main tourist hub. Along the beach you will find cafés, restaurants, shops, dive centres and bars, and in the evening part of the area turns into a lively nightlife spot.
Lotus Paradise Resort is right in the middle of it all, at 9/9 Moo 1, Sairee Beach.
From here you can walk to almost everything you need on holiday: from the beach and restaurants to the bars and dive shops.
But there is a big difference between a hotel within walking distance of the nightlife and a hotel right next to one of the busiest party spots in the area.
And that is exactly the difference you need to understand when choosing Lotus Paradise.
The location is the hotel's clearest strength.
Sairee Beach is about a three-minute walk away, and some of the rooms are right next to the sand.
Restaurants, cafés and shops surround the hotel, so you can get around the area without needing a scooter or a taxi.
For young travellers, divers or anyone planning to spend most of their time around Sairee, that is a real convenience.
You can head out to a café in the morning, carry on to the beach, come back to the room to freshen up and go out to a restaurant or bar in the evening.
The location also suits anyone coming to Koh Tao for a few days who wants to enjoy the tourist area without spending a lot of time travelling.
Lotus Paradise is next to Lotus Bar, one of Sairee's best-known beach bars.
The bar is open in the evening and at night, and the resort's official website lists opening hours until 02:00.
Music and parties are a central part of the atmosphere here.
In some of the hotel's rooms the noise can be very noticeable, even with the windows closed.
It is especially important to know that some of the cheaper rooms are in buildings slightly further from the beach, but actually closer to the street and the bars. So a room that does not face the sea is not necessarily quieter.
If you are coming to Koh Tao for the nightlife, the location can be ideal.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to go to bed early, rest after a day of sightseeing or enjoy a quiet romantic holiday, this could be a serious problem.
Lotus Paradise is far better suited to a lively holiday than to one focused on peace and rest.
One of the features of Lotus Paradise is its wide range of room categories.
The hotel offers basic double rooms, Superior and Deluxe rooms, family rooms, garden bungalows, suites and sea-facing rooms.
The differences between categories are not just about size or view.
The room's position, comfort, design and exposure to noise can also vary a great deal.
According to the resort's official website, Standard rooms are about 24 sq m, with a double bed or two single beds.
One important detail in this category is that some of the rooms have no window with a view outside.
That is a real drawback if you like a room that is bright and naturally ventilated.
A room without a view can work if you are only there to sleep and get ready, but less so if you want to spend time in the room itself.
It is also worth checking where the room is in relation to the bars and public walkways, as the basic rooms are not necessarily in the quietest areas.
Superior rooms are about 32 sq m and designed for two people.
According to the official information, they have air conditioning, a balcony, a TV, tea and coffee facilities and a private bathroom.
Some rooms also have a bathtub.
The view is towards the garden, not necessarily the sea.
This can be a better choice than a Standard room if space and a balcony matter to you.
Here too, though, it is important to check the room's exact position and how well it is maintained.
Deluxe rooms are better equipped than the basic categories, at about 32 sq m, with a town or garden view depending on the room.
This option suits anyone who wants to stay in central Sairee but does not necessarily need a sea-facing room.
However, the name Deluxe does not guarantee a new or particularly quiet room.
In a hotel with significant differences between buildings, check recent photos of the category rather than relying on the name alone.
The property also has air-conditioned bungalows of about 22 sq m with a garden view.
They offer a different kind of stay from a room in a main building.
Instead of long corridors, you get a smaller unit in green surroundings.
For travellers who like simple Thai bungalows, this can be an interesting option.
But check how well the room is sealed, the state of the bathroom and how close it is to the noisy spots.
In terms of location, this is one of the most attractive categories.
The sea-facing bungalows are about 40 sq m and look out over the bay.
Their advantage is that you can enjoy the beach and the sunsets right outside your room.
But it is important to understand that at Lotus Paradise, being close to the sea can also mean being close to the party area.
So a beachfront bungalow is not necessarily the right choice if you are looking for privacy and quiet.
Before booking, check not only what you can see from the balcony, but also where the bars and music are in relation to it.
Lotus Paradise also offers rooms for three and four guests.
Some categories have a double bed and a single bed, while others can take larger family groups.
Location-wise, it is a convenient option for families who want to be close to the beach and the restaurants.
But night-time noise is a particularly important consideration when travelling with children.
So we would not choose a family room at this hotel without first finding out how exposed it is to the music.
Cleanliness and maintenance are among the most obvious drawbacks of Lotus Paradise Resort.
The hotel has several buildings and room categories, and they are not all in the same condition.
Some units have dated furniture, bathrooms in need of improvement and gaps in day-to-day upkeep.
Problems raised in detailed reviews during 2025-2026 include bedding that is not clean enough, unpleasant smells in bathrooms, poorly sealed windows and faults in the rooms.
It cannot be said that every unit is in this state, but the cleanliness scores on booking sites are also fairly low.
So if cleanliness and upkeep are especially important to you, check the specific room you are booking.
In some rooms the bathrooms offer only basic fittings.
The state of the showers, sealing and maintenance varies.
Especially in the older rooms, make sure the hot water works properly and that there are no drainage problems or smells.
These are details that can affect your comfort during the stay, especially after a day at sea or diving.
Lotus Paradise advertises its swimming pools as one of the resort's main facilities.

The official photos show outdoor pools surrounded by seating areas.
But this is where it is important to know the gap between the advertised facilities and the reality.
Booking.com shows a notice that one of the two pools is under renovation.
In addition, recent reviews include complaints about the upkeep of the pools and about one of them sometimes being used for diving activities.
This means you cannot always freely enjoy every pool area.

This matters if you are choosing the hotel mainly to spend long hours in the water.
Before booking Lotus Paradise, check which pools are open, their opening hours and whether diving lessons or other activities take place in them.
If a lovely, quiet pool is one of the most important things for you on holiday, compare other hotels on Koh Tao too.
Lotus Bar is a major part of the identity of the area around the hotel.
The bar is close to the beach and draws travellers who come to drink, listen to music and go out in the evening.
The atmosphere is lively, and there are sometimes fire shows in the area too.
If you are looking for nightlife, that is a clear advantage.
You can step out of your room and quickly reach one of Sairee's main nightlife areas without taking a scooter or a taxi.
But if you are looking for quiet, this proximity is the biggest drawback.
The music can go on until late, and in some rooms you can hear it clearly.
So choose Lotus Paradise fully aware of the character of the area.
This is not a quiet hotel that just happens to be near a few bars. Nightlife is a major part of its surroundings.
The property has restaurants serving a mix of Thai and international food.
Booking.com lists two restaurants: Lotus Rest & Bar and Sea & Savor.
The restaurant serves Thai and Western dishes, including pizzas and international food.
It is designed for meals throughout the day, from breakfast through to dinner.
Its advantage is that you can eat without leaving the hotel area.
The second restaurant focuses on dinner, combining Italian and Thai dishes, pizzas and cocktails.
It adds another option for a meal or a night out.
That said, the hotel is right in the heart of Sairee's restaurant area, so there is no need to rely only on the places on the property.
A short walk away you will find plenty of restaurants, cafés, local Thai food and places to go out facing the sea.
Breakfast at the hotel is American-style, depending on your booking terms.
The location in the heart of Sairee is a plus if you prefer to head out and pick a different café each morning.
If breakfast is one of your main reasons for choosing a hotel, check the menu, serving times and what is included in the price in advance.
Given the wide choice of cafés and restaurants close by, it is not necessarily worth paying a high surcharge for breakfast at the hotel.
The hotel also lists spa facilities and massage services.
In addition, the Siam Scuba Dive Center operates on the property.
For travellers coming to Koh Tao to dive, that is a significant advantage.
You can combine a stay in a central area with diving and Sairee's nightlife.
However, check course availability, types of dives and prices directly with the dive centre.
It is also worth checking the spa's opening hours and treatments in advance.
One of the big advantages of Lotus Paradise is how close it is to Sairee Beach.
You can walk to the beach in a few minutes, stroll along the sand and sit in the restaurants and bars facing the sea.
The beach is especially good for walks and for watching the sunset, as it faces west.
However, swimming conditions change with the tides, and in some areas there is shallow water, rocks and boats.
In addition, the main stretch of Sairee is very busy with tourists.
If you are looking for a quiet, secluded beach with very few people, you may prefer other parts of Koh Tao.
The level of service at Lotus Paradise is not consistent.
The hotel offers tour services, help arranging activities and assistance with arrivals and departures, but the handling of faults and requests is not always consistent.
Especially when the problem involves noise, cleanliness or changing rooms, it is important to have someone available who can help.
Some recent reviews include complaints about response times and about problems not being dealt with properly.
So before making a non-refundable booking, check the booking terms and how to contact the hotel.
It depends very much on the kind of holiday you want.
For a couple coming to Koh Tao to enjoy Sairee's bars, restaurants and lively atmosphere, the location can work.
Being close to the sea and being able to book a bungalow with a view of the bay are further advantages.
But for a couple looking for a quiet romantic holiday, with long hours by the pool, a lovely room and a peaceful night's sleep, Lotus Paradise is less suitable.
Night-time noise, the state of the pools and the uneven upkeep could spoil the holiday.
Especially as there are other resorts on Koh Tao that offer sea views and a calmer atmosphere, it is worth comparing before you book.
Travellers looking for nightlife: being close to Lotus Bar and the party areas is the clearest advantage.
Anyone who wants to be in the heart of Sairee: shops, restaurants, cafés and the beach are all within walking distance.
Travellers coming to dive: being close to the dive centres and sea activities is very convenient.
Anyone planning to spend most of the day out of the room: if the room is mainly for sleeping and getting ready, a central location may matter more than luxurious design.
Anyone who likes a young, lively atmosphere: the area around the hotel is busy throughout the day and evening.
Lotus Paradise is less suitable if you need quiet at night.
Families with young children may also prefer a hotel further from the bar area.
If spotless cleanliness, well-maintained rooms and a quiet pool that is available all day matter to you, look at other options on Koh Tao.
And if you are looking for an intimate, romantic holiday for two, you may enjoy a small hotel in north Sairee or a resort in a quiet bay more.
Value for money depends on the room category and on what matters to you on holiday.
The central location is a significant advantage, and in some categories you can get a room or bungalow with a sea view.
But when you are paying a relatively high price, it is important to make sure the room is well maintained and that the advertised facilities are actually available.
The gap between the location score and the scores for cleanliness, facilities and value for money shows that location alone is not enough to guarantee a good stay.
Especially if you are not interested in nightlife, compare the price with other hotels in Sairee.
Sometimes paying a little more can get you a better room and a lot more quiet.
Lotus Paradise Resort is a hotel whose character is shaped very much by its location in the middle of Sairee's nightlife.
Being close to the beach, bars, restaurants and dive centres gives it an edge for travellers looking for an active, lively holiday.
The wide range of rooms and bungalows lets you choose between different standards, including sea-facing units.
But there are also significant drawbacks: loud music until late at night, uneven cleanliness and maintenance, and uncertainty about the availability and condition of the pools.
Lotus Paradise Resort is mainly for those who come to Koh Tao for the nightlife and want to be close to the action. If you are looking for quiet, a good night's sleep and a lovely pool, there are better-suited options on the island.
This review is based on the official Lotus Paradise Resort website, Booking.com and Tripadvisor. Information about the rooms, the bar's opening hours and the pools was checked against the official website, and the drawbacks against recent reviews.
